France 1817-W 1/4 franc
This tiny coin was struck at Lille, France, under the régime of king Louis XVIII (1814-24). It is the first and commonest date of a type struck 1817-24. Unlike Napoleonic quarter francs, which are divided among six types, all quarter francs of this reign are of this type, which is fairly common. The catalog[1] notes 35 dates for the type, some very rare. This issue is scarce but not rare.
Recorded mintage: 14,264[1].
Specification: 1.25 g, .900 fine silver, 15 mm diameter, plain edge.
Catalog reference: F.163/11, KM 714.

I can't believe that it has already been 40 years since a local TV reporter exposed the "chicken ranch" and ZZ Top came out with this great song:

The folks removing hats unlawfully were hat thieves! In addition, there was usually a sign tacked to the wall above the hat rack that sayeth this "WATCH YER HAT"... el Heron once put his white hat [sailor's hat] on one a those racks and watched it the entire time whilst consuming a burger of some carne misterioso and greasy victory fries. Watching the hat did take the mind off the lousy food!

That Jeton medal is beautiful, I stared at it for like two minutes. His wave like hair and the details on the reverse are outstanding. I like the depth that the frame on the octagonal rim gives it as well. I hope to have some steam left later tonight for coins. Have to list stuff and go through some scrap first. I've been a bad, bad girl and need to make up for some lost time on Monday.
