[Kinda reminds Heron of a song from 1978-1979]
1815 - Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont confirmed by The Congress Vienna.
W&P became a member of Germanian Confederation.
1868 - Administered by Prussia by mutual consent.
1871 - Waldeck & Pyrmont became Principality of new German Empire.
1919 - Became a Freie Stadt of the Weimar Republic.
Notes:
Heron starts the Waldeck & Pyrmont union as of 1625. Long time readers of this
Coin & Paper Money chatting place might recall Heron's previous reports:
Report #297 - Waldeck 1/2 Batz 1589.
Report #211 - Pyrmont IIII Pfennig 1761.
Ruler 1845 - Georg Heinrich [Georg II].
Word Waldeck is compound noun consisting of word Wald and word Eck.
Wald is woods or forest and Eck means 'corner'. So the place known as Wald~Eck
would be 'the corner of the woods'. Or 'corner of the forest'.
Titles of Prince - "Prince of Waldeck & Pyrmont, Count of Rappolstein, Lord of
Hohenack/Geroldseck am Wasgau".
