No follow-up to the teaser about sum£ here, I'm afraid, but I did have a follow-up to this question:

540. I'd go with the Danse Macabre, Paris, Guy Marchant, September, 1485, but there are other 15th century printed editions, not to mention manuscript possibilities.
I'm sure fine could give a much more informative answer.

Great choice, Oldbookshop! I was thinking it might be some type of photography book on dance issued in a limited printing ... no title came to mind.
Coincidentally, today I came across an actual realized value on a dance book:
A 1945 first edition copy of Ballet by Alexey Brodovitch with text by Edwin Denby, illustrated with 104 gravure reproductions of Brodovitch's graphic photographs and issued in a limited edition of 500 copies (of which it is speculated that even fewer were actually printed), sold at Swann's Photographic Literature auction in May, 2007 for $5,200 (not including buyer's premium), exceeding its pre-sale estimate of $2,500-$3,500.
