Is there a way to get your buying privileges back?

If you get you your purchasing privileges restricted due to not paying for certain items that you won at auction due to issues beyond your control is there a way to rectify them or is the time that they go away?

You've been registered for six months and already have 2 unpaid item strikes?

How were they beyond your control?

Non payment strikes age off one year after you get them. Until then, nothing you can do.

Buying is in your control, but paying isn't? Makes no sense.

Not all sellers have proper buyer requirements set--maybe you will run across one. Also, I've heard you can buy if it's Buy It Now with Immediate Payment Required. Then you won't be able to follow your old habit of not paying, since you'd have to pay in order to buy--look for those.

Unpaid item strikes take 12 months to age off.  Most sellers have their stores set to block any buyer with 2 or more strikes in a year.  There are some sellers who do not have these blocks in place, if you find them, I suggest you pay for your purchases right away to avoid further strikes on your account.

You bid, you win, you pay.

Otherwise you find yourself with a year off or worse...eBay does boot buyers who make a habit of not paying for their winnings.
