I have had 3 seperate occasions where people have bid on my items and never paid for them? They bid at the minimum bid, of course they only had a 2 - 5 rating, but still, how do I prevent this from happening? Its so frusterating.

That my friend is the million dollar question.......
But you can do something to prevent this from happening. Use BIN in your listings, and then require immediate payment on those items. When you tick the box under your paypal addy when you list an item to require immediate payment the item is not sold until a payment is made for the item. It sure saves a lot of headaches.

Have you set your bidder blocks to block anyone with 2 or more Unpaid Item strikes? Have you filed Unpaid Item Disputes against the non-payers? It's the only way to flag them to protect other sellers, and to get your fees refunded.

If you are being bothered by Non-Paying Bidders set up a "deadbeat blockade" (won't keep 'em all away -- but will cut down on the influx)
Go to your "Account Settings" (in the drop-down under "Hi, -- your name --"; or on your "My eBay" page)
Set the "Buyer Requirements" to "Block buyers with 2 or more unpaid item strikes in the past 12 months"
eBay will automatically such buyers from bidding on or buying your items. (you can't see the strikes -- eBay keeps the file)
If non-payers do get past the block ---
File an Unpaid Item Claim through Resolution Center (you must wait at least 2 days but no more than 32 days from end of auction before filing)
If still not paid after waiting at least another 4 days, close the claim; issue the unpaid item strike; get your final value fees refunded
Put the non-paying bidder's ID onto your Block Bidder List middle column of Site Map (link at the bottom of any eBay page)

Another seller who is a member of the 'I find not getting paid a positive experience' club moaning about not getting paid!
It's a serious policy violation to leave a buyer false positives and that can damage your account.
You cannot warn off others.
You cannot accuse them of not paying.
