Today ebay came out with a new coupon selling policy that only allows $100 maximum or 25 coupons per month per seller. That effectively puts us out of business. I suspect it was the people who recklessly sold expired and scanned and conterfeit free coupons that got us honest sellers kicked off too. What a bloody shame they couldn't control the few bad apples and threw the baby out with the bath water.

WOW! I am very sorry for your lose of revenue. I used to sell custom made crochet graphs that we delivered digitally. Had a wonderful little side business with those. Then e bay put a stop to anything delivered electronically.
They go by the mentality of throwing the baby out with the bath water.....

Thank you Marilyn for posting that link, it's an eye opener. I'm glad i never sold counterfeir coupons but then again I never would. They really are throwing the baby out with the bath water and a lot of us legitimate sellers are getting hurt because of a few bad apples. Maybe some day when the counterfieters are caught they will allow us to sell our coupons again.

I know you probably won't get the exposure that you had on ebay, but what about creating and selling from your own website? And what about selling them on other sites like Bonanza?

I don't know what you can do, like us other coupon sellers we're shocked at what's happened. If only Ebay would kick off the counterfeit coupon sellers and let us honest sellers continue that would be fair. Ebay could ban free product coupons which are problem ones that are counterfeit and let us sell the ones that are for cents off. A few rotten apples spoiled the barrel.

Sorry this happened to the legitimate sellers. But, in reality, eBay would have a very difficult time with the scammers. New IDs can be created easily. And the scammers wouldn't be caught out until buyers complain. It would be more than a fulltime job for eBay. I doubt that sellers would want to pay increased fees for this.
Hopefully you will find another site to sell on. Good luck!

pixie, what would a second ID do with the alotment of 25 coupons per month? I'd need a hundred accounts!!!
sounds like you have a potential solution....

I recall a few years ago when Ebay suddenly changed their policy on firearm parts....
It changed my business immediately.
Thank Goodness for Gunbroker.com. They saved me from a huge loss.
Coupon Sellers have my sympathy today, but I am certain they will find a way.
just don't get it in your mind that EBay will miss you.... They simply don't care.

I am devastated by this - I'm not a seller, I'm a buyer! I love getting multiples of coupons for sales. May I make a suggestion to ALL sellers of coupons? DO NOT LET EBAY PUT YOU OUT OF BUSINESS! Continue to sell on your own. In fact, please put me on your mailing list right now!
great idea. But get permission from those Buyers first, so you don't get accused of Spamming people.
Paypal is not going to care one way or the other.
