I am intermittently getting the following message while trying to complete tranactions on eBay, I am a longtime customer and this only seems to be a new occurance happening to nearly 50 percent of my transactions it the last couple of weeks:
"Sorry, we were unable to process your request. Please try again. You may need to retry your checkout."
No problem with my credit card or paypal account.

Are you buying from USA sellers that don't ship to Ireland?
Are you even checking the ship to countries before you bid/win?
That's the only thing I can think of.
Do you usually buy on the USA site or Euro sites?

Well its yes to both of you but in a different way, I buy from the four corners of the globe. Once a suppliers tab in the shipping section has a drop down for Ireland I'll buy from them. Never had a problem with this before. All the last transactions that I've had problems with offered international shipping and charging accordingly. Logically I would assume they would also take foreign PayPal.
So maybe they don't have their accounts set up correctly to trade internationally. I'll go ask the vendor who I had problems with this evening (in the US)

I got this message too all the time:
Sorry, we were unable to process your request. Please try again.
When I check out with paypal in the last step of this product:
I have bought an item just a few days before from this seller.
So frustrating that ebay has this annoying problem!

Blue is correct - that can happen when sellers have foreign paypal accounts blocked.
