your phone camera will have resolution settings (possibly associated with the word "quality") typically you will have the option of 3-4 possible image sizes (resolutions)
go into your phone's camera and hit menu and look for camera settings, specifically resolution.
If you have no way to edit pics, then try and select the resolution that is closest to 1400 pixels or so. (no matter if its height or width, as long as one side is around 1400px)
if you can edit them before listing, then use the highest resolution you can and resize them to 1400x whatever and upload them
