I have never seen a drop down deal in all my years on eBay so I am guessing whatever it is that your are experiencing has nothing to do with eBay.

Block pop-ups in your browser and install and maintain anti-virus software

Everyone should know these 4 things:
1) Buyer Protection - 30 days to file a claim from delivery date
2) Auctions are binding contracts
3) Click on Customer Support to find all answers
4) Problems are resolved in the Resolution Center

No, you don't want to block pop-ups in your web browser.

That isn't a pop-up, it's an advertisement.

Pop-up windows are necessary for the site to function. The Browse window and the Enlarge feature, among others, are necessary.

Clean up your computer.
