i'm trying to print a shipping label and i get "Invalid address. Click "Change" to revise it." there is no way to correct the address on my end as it's not something simple. the person has a typo...a letter is inside of the numbers for the street address. i would have no way of knowing what the correct number is.
i have written to the buyer, no answer yet. how long should i wait before i just cancel the auction? i would hate to get bad feedback because i "waited" too long to ship the item.
thanks for your help

I have had this problem as well and ended up just hand writing the label and paying at the PO. It gave a possible correct address and the buyer said no do not use that or I will not get it. It was just a difference of N (north) or something. Have you asked the buyer if the address is correct? Maybe use what USPS suggests is correct so you can print it, then correct the address label?

I was guessing that the R in 3835R meant "Rear" as well.
Have you tried changing it to 3835-R to see if the USPS will accept that?

3835R East Main Oaks Blvd (i changed the street name for this post)
the post office is not giving a suggested address, and i don't want to just delete the "R", what if it is a 5 digit address??
i guess i'll just wait until the weekend is over and try again. i guess it won't hurt to let it sit there until she comes on to look for where her package is. i just hope that she understands this is not my fault and doesn't leave back f/b for me.

Luckily, this doesn't happen often, but it IS frustrating when it doesX-(
When did the buyer pay for the item? Since it's the weekend, give them until Monday to respond before sending another message. You can also get this person's phone contact number by using eBay's Advance Search feature. Sometimes a phone call yields better results than email.
Meanwhile, have to tried printing a label by deleting the intrusive letter?
You can't unilaterally cancel this transaction... you'd have to send the buyer a Cancel Transaction Request, and wait for her response. Read the instructions below:

Perhaps the R is an apartment reference. Put a space before it and see if that corrects the problem.
If not try googling the buyer's name, city for the correct address or
go to USPS.com use find a zip code to get the correct address.
We used to use R as in the rear back when I was young and the mail was delivered on horseback but I don't think they use that anymore.
You can correct the address as long as it does not change the destination.
