what does enter a valid value mean when I try to list a catagory to sell? that appears in red and will not let me continue.

when I try to list a item and go to the catagory I have selected I get a erra notice that is in red please enter a valid value but at this point in listing that can't be done.

That means that there is a field where you have not entered something -- look very carefully.

This may be ebays way of sayoing, either your item doesn"t belong in that catagory or your wording of what you are trying to catagorize is wrong. Start all over, ebay will ask, as you list what are you selling, then ebay will suggest the catagories to list in.

Go back over the listing looking at numbers first.  Sometimes that will happen if you have no decimal point of too many numbers after the decimal point.  check number of items and shipping weights.


if you have too big of a weight for your shipping choice it wil also tell you with a valid value complaint.
