Can I end an item if there have been bids on it? It was described wrong

No, not when bids are already placed. As mentioned, you could add to the item description but cannot revise or end the listing. Cancelling the bids is also not a good idea. You could let the auction finish and contact the winning bidder about the error and offer a substantial discount or cancellation if they prefer. Good luck to you.:-)

just amend the listing form and notify bidders if they still want the item. if you cancel bids ,you will still be charged and risk bad feedback and nonperforming seller
