Buyter Requirements activity Report gave a sigh of relief! Why can't we Block SNAD Claimers?

For some reason I felt a sigh of relief when I viewed my Buyer Requirements Activity Report.  Some may say they were potential customers and business lost.  I would rather lose that kind of business then to have dealt with the problem customer after they received my auction item.

I can't seem to find the Buyer requirements option to exclude Buyer who have filed SNAD claims?  I can block non paying bidders to a small degree.

Why do they have an option to block buyers with negative feedback?  Sellers can't leave negative feedback so why is that option even there?

It is right under the one for buyers that leave negatives and low DSRs.

Some buyers also sell on the same account.

So a Buyer can stop a Seller from bidding on eBay?  That makes perfect sense.

You would block with only the info that a SNAD claim had been filed?  How would a seller know whether a buyer had filed a legit SNAD, filed on Paypal, or filed a chargeback?  There are lots of details sellers don't know about buyers, including IDs of buyers who are also sellers out to do some damage.

I saw an episode of Judge Judy where a Seller mailed a sheet of paper with a picture of a cell phone on it to a Buyer.  Yes there are very bad sellers out there. That said I still want an option to edit my Buyer Requirements to block SNAD claimers.  The option to set a Block for those who have filed 2 or more claims in the last year would be great.

What about those that did not shower today? Gonna block them? How about funny sounding names? Gonna block them? Put me on your blocked list. I have already put you on mine.

Does INR = Item Not Received?

If so then that is OK. If you print your mailing labels using the eBay postage system it gives you an automatic tracking number.  Plus if the item is over a certain dollar amount it automatically fills in the check box for signature required. I insure just about everything I ship so if an item is reported as received broken I automatically have a claim with the post office to recover the loss.

I am just acknowledging that there are a small number of people who consistantly have issues with everything going on in their life and I just want to avoid them.  Just yesterday as I walked into a Best Buy and witnessed a manager explain to a customer they would not be getting a refund.  The customer got irrate to the point where security had to escort them out the store.  Did they loose a customer?  Maybe, but it didn't stop the rest of the crowd shopping and making their purchases.

That is simply left over from when buyers could get negged. In order to achieve a negative one score now, the user would have to be a seller.....you know, the kind that are "still welcomed to buy."

I have folks with no paypal account blocked..... I would say that 90% of the activity on that log is for just that.  I'd also say that based on comparing feedback scores and member since info... about 50% of those people end up either opening or re-activating a paypal account and buying the widget they wanted.

I never thought (until just now) that I might get a slightly "ticked" buyer that feels I made them jump through hoops for a simple purchase...... something else to worry about now :-)
