how do I turn off the recently viewed items when I'm looking at other items?

I want to delete the "recently Viewed" items when I'm searching other items. Sometimes when you have looked for something for someone, they may happen to see what you have been looking at and realize it might be a present for that person.

You can't.

You can create a second ID and use that one to browse, or log in as a guest when you are just window shopping.
