Fees for unsold items ?

Ebay is billing me for fees even though my items didn't sell ? Is this correct , I thought you only had to pay if your items got sold.

Obviously  I'm new to selling. I've found all this to be very complicated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You only pay the final value fee if the item sells, but you still owe listing fees, extra pictures, etc.

Without a store you are allowed 50 free auction style listings per month. That is the basic listing, with one photo.

Today only, you are allowed 50,000 free listings!

But you still have to pay for extras, like extra photos.  In July, 12 photos will all be free, but right now they are not.

When you do a listing, you can see at the bottom of the page what your listing fees are, before you committ to the listing.  If there is a charge there you didn't expect, go back and see what exas you have put in that you are being charged for.

We are talking about LISTING fees here.  If an item sells, you are charged a final value fee also.

I think ebay should charge only for sold items. This process of charging for listings and pictures is just wrong because we're not making money for something unsold. They should change it before everybody migrates to other sites like etsy.
