i wanna buy a couple of things, but after "losing" my paypal account, i dont want to open a new one
i've havent been able to find ebay gift cards at any store =?
what can i do?

eBay allows the following payment methods:
Credit card or debit card processed through the seller's Internet merchant account
Payment upon pickup
Bill Me Later
However, YOU have to find the sellers who accept payments other than PayPal. Probably 95% or more accept PayPal only.
Oh ... gift cards are no longer being sold in stores.
How did you lose your PP account?

Notice they love to repeat how 95% of eBay users ONLY accept PayPal...
That's because its damned near an act of congress to add another form, and by default its set to PayPal only.
The fix is in because of eBay owning PayPal so they can double-dip on fees.
I haven't used eBay since 2009 and came today to buy a used, discontinued electronic device, and the seller is an older gentleman who ONLY accepts PayPal because he can't figure out another way to accept payment.
EVERYTHING else I've used Amazon for.
I refuse to use PayPal, therefore I cannot buy from eBay

My PayPal account got hacked somehow, >1 year ago. Strange charges started showing up from itunes and apps that I definitely did not buy started showing up on my phone (Soldier of Fortune, other violent stuff I would not be interested in). I didn't lose my phone and only use my home laptop for shopping, so it's not like I left my account open and unattended. itunes refunded me, and paypal said they would have if itunes hadn't. Although I was refunded it was a real hassle and I don't want to have a Paypal account at all anymore. So no more ebay at all for me. Bummer.

Yes you can. When you go to paying site there would be three option.
3. optional .....
click third one. Then you could buy your item with your credit or debit card.

i decided to stop using PayPal after someone started to use it (phishing)
We can help prevent phishing your PP account!
1. There have been NO confirmed reports of PP being hacked.
2. If the problem was phishing, that meant YOU gave your PP ID & password to somebody. Suggest you try to resurrect your old PP account, change passwords, and NEVER give the new ID info to anybody. Do not let your computer autolog you into PayPal (or eBay).
(If your old PP account is gone, and if PP allows you to start a new account, it is OK to do so ... but be careful!)

The River processes credit cards for it's individual sellers and of course for it's own sales.
eBay does not.eBay does not handle or process any payments.
(I sell on both)

You can only pay sellers who offer another approved way to use your credit card.
Few on eBay.com do this.

a) You have to find sellers who take payment methods OTHER THAN PayPal. Or take credit cards direct. That will be difficult on eBay.com the USA site - as 95% of sellers only accept PayPal.
b) You shop on OTHER eBay sites - ones where sellers accept other methods that you CAN use.
