There is a place in paypal to enter a gift card for payment.

You should reconsider the safety of paypal. It is the ONLY way I will ever pay for anything on the internet. It is very safe, and has an added layer of encryption that keeps the scammers at bay.

The Paypal My Cash card?

Says right on the card that Paypal will require your SSN if you wish to use the card.

I don't send my a Copy of my SS card to anyone regardless.  I don't care how reputable they are.

PayPal is a secure site. If you are not willing to provide info, you won't be able to use PayPal. (There is no such thing a a PayPal pre-paid card.)

Maybe you could call them and they would take info over the phone? Might work.
