There are several scams in which the scammer asks a newbie for their "PayPal Account Number". Please tell us why you (or somebody else) wants that number!

you don't have a number....you have an ID and Password....if you don't remember them sign on to paypal and click on forgot ID

PayPal uses your registered email address as your account number.
If you are selling, make sure you enter it correctly into the sell your item form, so buyer payments can reach you

You don't have a PayPal account number.
People PAY to YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS that you registerd with PayPal.
If you mean a payment TRANSACTION NUMBER - that is on the DETAILS page for that payment.
