Why can't I receive payment from my buyers?

I changed my primary PayPal email recently, and this is where I've run into problems.  I had an auction up and when the winning buyer tried to pay through PayPal, they received a message saying their payment was "unclaimed" and "pending".  I know this can be caused by entering an invalid email address as the one you receive your payments to, but I double checked and the email address is correct on the listing.  I looked directly at my PayPal account, since I did change my email address associated with the account recently, I though I might have made a mistake there.  All that info is correct.  The email address I designated as the one to receive payments to is my primary email for the PayPal account, and it's also verified.  I'm at a loss as to what is causing this.  This one payment that I'm having trouble with isn't the only payment I'm supposed to receive, so I need to sort this out ASAP.  Can anyone help me out with this?
