Today, I finally received a refund from Paypal. I was surprised to find my account balance with $0.00. I checked the history and apparently they tried to refund the money to my card, which was a gift card! THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND I HAVE NOTHING. Is there anyway to get the money back?

with regular credit cards, if a refund cannot be applied back to that card (for whatever reason) Paypal puts the money into your Paypal account balance.

Was it an eBay gift card?
If so, look here for the refund:

calm down...paypal did not steal your money.
if you don't know where to look for it, give them (paypal) a call.
they will be happy to help you steal it back.

Sorry for accusing but I used a visa gift card. I don't think Ebay can get me a redemption code for that. PayPal tried to refund me on the card. This was when they subtracted the total funds and left me with nothing because visa gift cards can't accept further money.
