Can I use my Visa prepaid gift card to pay for items on eBay through Paypal? If so how?

I would like to pay for an item using my visa gift card but every time I try to, eBay says there is an error and the payment did not go through.  I have payed with a visa prepaid card before through Paypal and I do not understand why it is not letting me pay with it now.

I have put the visa gift card on Paypal and I am still having trouble using it.  It keeps on showing up as an error.

eBay does not process payments.

Almost all eBay sellers require a third party to process credit cards. They do not have bank merchant accounts.

You need to add the card to your PayPal account and use it that way.

If you've been paying as a Guest, not only do you have to open an account to get a refund but they only allow it a few times before they insist you open an account.

Never rely on eBay nor emails for accurate payment information.
