I bought a $50 ebay gift card and i do not want to use paypal or even create a paypal account, i just want to use the funds on the card.
if i do have to use paypal do i have to put in my bank pr credit card info? I do not wish to do that because i do not trust things like that.

You have to use Paypal to pay with the Ebay gift card. You can use Paypal as a guest but if there is a problem with the transaction such as you don't receive it or it's not as described you will have to register with Paypal to receive a refund.

in my many many years with paypal my bank acct has been hacked, hijacked, But never paypal

Using a credit card through PayPal is by far the safest way to pay for anything online on any website.
