I bought an item internationally that was supposed to be delivered 10/30-11/6 and I have still not received the item. It was sitting in the same spot for over 10 days. I already contacted the seller several times within the past week and they have not answered. I even emailed the address they had attached to their paypal account. So I filed a case with ebay for a full refund.
Now I check USPS tracking info and it seems that it has updated as of this morning. I no longer want the item, as I have already ordered a different one from a different seller. I was wondering if I can stop the package from being delivered to my house.
I'd rather not have to deal with shipping it back to the seller, who is probably scamming me when I look at feedback from other people who bought the same item. A lot of other people are saying they received something different than the item they ordered. Others are just saying they haven't received the package at all.
Anyhow, I was just wondering what I can do to save myself a trip to the post office if it gets here.

To maintain your buyers protection you must accept delivery. Turning it down will not get your money back.
The 10 days you are saying it was just "sitting there" are probably in Customs. Your seller has no control at all with that.
His bad feedback could (maybe should) have been used when you made the decision to buy. It is not a reason to decide it is probably a scam just because you changed your mind. When the item arrives if it is not as described THEN it may help get your money back.
Read the tutorial on buyers protection to make sure you do everything correctly. There are no shortcuts or you will lose your case..

Okay thanks. There was actually no negative feedback at all when I ordered. Now that I have this case open, if I receive the item and it's not as described, how do I go about changing that case to "item not as described"?
