ONLYJERSEYS sells fake TNF products, fake jerseys, and probably fake timberlands Beware. bought a northface park and is fake, check this other guy out jasaonfayaxa this is what he wrote to me. "First of all many North Face Coat are made in China under contract from US apparel suppliers, check out the tags. The expensive one's I have for skiing are made idetical. You need to get you facts straight. This is a great coat and all that have bought it have loved it. Go pick on another supplier." that just proves his products are fake cause all the real ones are never made in china.
hope this helps
I have just puchased a FAKE pair of North face summit series gloves, the logo's are shoddy, plus the material a rubbish too, if ur about to purchase a pair of these gloves dont!!! i got ripped off, and would'nt want anyone else to do the same... these sellers should be booted out of ebay!!
seen better quality from asda
For the people who have had these jackets in their possesion..... I understand that the North Face ones from China are fake but beyond that are they warm and do they seem like they would hold up?? In other words how bad really are they??
I used to work for a North Face Outlet Store here in Georgia. I know a little about this subject. We used to get customers who had purchased the fake jackets in China trying to exchange them or get warranty work done on them. They would get really upset when we informed them that they had a fake. Had one get really mad at me because he wanted to buy a hood for his fake jacket and we didn't sell them!!!! Go Figure.
By the way some of the jackets that posters are saying are fake are the real thing. The North Face Makes jackets for it's outlet stores from left over materials. Sometimes they are exactly the same and sometimes there will be slight differences. The quality is always just as good. The tag will usually Price tag will always have SMU(Special Make Up) on it in front of the description.
The best way to tell is to look for the numbers on the hang tag in the lower part of the jacket and call TNF. They should be able to tell you if it is a fake. Contact info can be found at thenorthface.com.
Your jacket looks like the real deal to me. It is a model from several years ago.
The first listing appears to be real. I can't tell much about the other two from the pictures, but they don't look real to me. One appears to have a Denali Jacket as the liner. TNF never sold this jacket as a system. The summit series mountain jacket is not sold with a liner.
Your jacket appears to the really thing to me.
I don't check the TNF listings on .com very often, but it would be a brave man who bought a new 2 in 1 jacket on .co.uk (or salopettes for that matter). By my estimates 80% of new TNF is clearly fake sadly.
hey i just baught a Coat (The North Face) MC MURDO PARKA
BLACK Size L and it seems to be Fake Because The Zipper Came out broken and all the bottons says Lion instead of The North Face i cant belive how stupid i was and actually Baught it for $172X -(
can someone help me? do you guys think this seller is selling real northface? http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-NORTH-FACE-NUPTSE-700-MENS-JACKET-BLACK-SZ-L_W0QQitemZ8356710414QQcategoryZ57988QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Wow just brought an NF jacket off of ebay for my girlfriend, and jus stumbled upon this damn forum and how to tell the differnece between real and fake... So hopefully that works out, anyway me and my brother own 2 authentic NF jackets and there are a couple of big differences from the real and fake. We compared our jackets and inner coats, to a NF fleech my brorher brought at his school for $10 (lol).
1. Our jackets had the serial number on the inside of the coat (right side) and also our fleech/inner coat had the same serial number as our outer shell coat, the fleech did not have the serial number
2. The North Face Logo on front side of fleech, the letter (E) in the Word FAC(E) did not line up with the EH TH(E) NORT(H)
3. The Zipper was an bronze color without the NF pull strip. (Both of our NF's have the pull strip with "The North Face" and the symbol on it, pull strip should be on the main zipper, and all pocket zipper's from what I can tell.
4. The Inner NF tag just didn't look right (Don't know why It didn't stand out in the beginning)
5. Both of our jackets have buttons that say "The North Face" on them, while the fleech button read " North North"
6. And a quick obvious thing inside the fleech has a fluke lookin tag reading "PolarTec", who the hell is that?
Trust, alot of these things can go undetected without good inspection....
Just Bought a NORTH FACE Summit Goretex Coat Jacket from vortexism (power seller)firstname.lastname@example.org
Scared that it is now a fake!
Does anyone know if Vortexisim is known as a dealer of rip off North Face coats?
Item is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7201210871&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
Check out www.thenorthfaceguru.com Lots of info on fake TNF stuff. I bought a coat from atlantalacoste in November. It has the zipper on the wrong side, smells like formaldehyde and has other signs of a fake. I've been communicating with other of his/her customers also. Most people really don't know the difference. We'll see if I get a refund. He keeps saying I am the first to complain about the zipper being on the wrong side, but I now know I'm not the only one.
what about this? i really don't know what to think. If it's fake what should i do? (i had to pay with money order)
Can't tell from the picture. However, the price is suspicious, and if you look at the seller's feedback items, there are other coats just like it he/she recently sold. what's the chance of an individual having that many genuine north face coats to sell?
i got pics
http://www.imageknockout.com/uploads/DSCN1351482031.JPG (the logo is there it's behind the hood)
what really mad eme think it's fake was the 550, the stich looks off a bit
I hate to be the bearer of bad news. This is a fake. The North Face Logo on the front appears to be crooked in the photo. The fact that this seller only accepts money orders is a big red flag also. Since you paid with a money order you probably will never see money again.
Your only hope is to file a complaint under the eBay Standard Purchase Protection Program. If eligable you will receive money back minus $25.00.
