what does Reserve Not Met mean?

I just put a bid on an item and there was a note stating that "The Reserve Wasn't Met"/ What does that mean exactly?/

It means there will be NO WINNER until the reserve price is met.

You can't win - and are not obligated with your current bid.

You are free to move on and find the item from another seller.

It means that if you want that item, increase the amount of your bid - once the reserve price is met, that message will go away,  A seller who opts in for a reserve does not have to sell that item to anyone who does not offer to pay enough for it.  It is always best to enter your max bid from the start - that way if you don't meet the reserve or win the item, you will not be exceeding your budget and you have a real chance at winning - remember it is the highest bid that wins the auction - not the last one.

It means that the high bid has not exceeded the reserve amount yet.

Go to Customer Support and type in "reserve".

The reserve is a semi secret amount your bid must meet to win the item.
