I notice a dramatic increase in International shipping and E-DELCON SERVICE on the printed label. Can these parcels be tracked? If not, why the postage increase?

International is supposed to be tracked and the cost has tripled in most cases yet no tracking is done at all the packages are not even entered into the system as accepted so someone needs to notify USPS that they are not doing their job I sent email but so far I have been ignored how hard is it to scan a label or enter 10 digits as they go. All packages were tracked years ago at least to customs then it stopped now at triple the cost they say tracking is part of the increase but no tracking! Nothing like being lied to and ripped off at the same time.

Nothing like having to eat my words I havent checked for a week or so and I have to say I am wrong packages are being tracked now. I checked some of my most recent orders and they have been tracked to france and were shown as delivered. I guess I was a little hasty in my assumption and had to verify by checking out some recent packages ooops

ALL USPS shipping has increased dramatically. E-DELCON is electronic delivery confirmation, which is the USPS version of tracking.

I don't believe they are tracked in the traditional sense, but they should be getting scanned into customs. I believe if, as the sender, you can show the item is in customs, you are offered more protection if the international buyer claims an INR. I hope this helps.

We get a LZ tracking number, but still this number does not provide any meaningful information on USPS. Where/how do we track?

The "dramatic increase in shipping" went into effect in January. At that time, First Class International became available for shipments to Canada. USPS just added several more countries such as France, UK, Netherlands (I forget the entire list) - I'm happy as blazes about it

Beginning July 28, the USPS is adding free Electronic Delivery Confirmation to 15 additional countries for First Class Package International Service. Those countries are the following:

Well, E-Delcon service to Brazil is no comfort to us. Here's another seller who just added Brazil to his list of excluded countries after continual slow delivery, one package recently returned to us, and the final straw: an eBay delivery complaint case opened today.
Our volume of sales to Brazil is not high enough to compensate for the uncertainty of satisfactorily completing the transactions, and the loss of merchandise and postage to resolve any complaints.
Maybe if and when they get their act together...

I've only had problem with Tracking for Packages to Brazil. I know packages take 8 weeks to clear customs, so right now it's a waiting game.
