NEVER NEVER bug your trading partners about feedback.

It is optional, it is voluntary and about half of all ebay members never or seldom participate in the feedback program.

Sometimes a buyer may not be completely happy with the item they purchased from you but are willing to let it slide until they receive a request for feedback, then they are willing to post it, but you won't like it.

With feedback, no news is good news.

Some buyers think giving a one for a DSR means number one service!

Don't ask.

eBay sends reminders you don't have to.

If you pester them you may not like the feedback you get.

You are asking for feedback? That is a good way to get feedback you DON'T want. I have seen this listed with a red doughnut "here is the feedback you have been bugging me about".

Feedback is voluntary. NOT mandatory. Less than half of the buyers ever leave anything at all.

Best to never request feedback at all-you may not like what you receive.

Also it is voluntary - for both parties.
