Why does ebay suck so much? I come on and all of the sites have changed. I cant even get into some

Here is the food chain:

eBay > Sellers > Buyers

eBay sells space for sellers to showcase their items to prospective buyers.

Sellers list items on eBay for buyers to purchase.

Buyers purchase items from the sellers who have listed the items for which eBay has sold them the space.

EBay is no more a vendor than your local mall.

If the good vendors leave the customers do too.   With nothing left but a few tanning salons, a nail place and a dollar store the mall goes out of business.

One doesn't have to pass Business 101 to know that consumers (buyers) are the customers of both eBay and eBay sellers.

Sounds more like a 090 course to me...

No, one doesn't need 101, but they do need common sense. As I've said, one can twist it any way one wants to, but eBay customers are the sellers, because they pay the bills.

That's common sense 101.

That's right. Buyers are plankton. Without plankton- the food chain collapses.

eBay is providing shelf space to their vendors- and buyers are everyone's customer.

Ha !! More twisting. They both need each other. But, that doesn't change the fact that eBay's customers are the sellers, who pays eBay's bills. Pretty simple, for most of us.

Such a stupid analogy.

Ebay could have buyers lined up all day, but if they don't have their customers - their sellers - they go out of business.

Neither buyers or sellers are infinite - Pz off enough of either - and they're done.

There's no doubt that buyers/sellers need each other. But a site that provides "Consumer Confidence" will be a site where honest sellers will prosper.

I've bought 1000s of items on eBay- and its' been 2+ years since I've felt the need to leave negative feedback.

It looks like eBays recent changes are in step with reality.

We have a venue here that has hosted quarterly (large) antiques shows for many years, and in the past has been very profitable.

The last year and half, the venue didn't advertise as much as they should have, resulting in reduced traffic.  But they charged the same booth rent.  So this October, many dealers did NOT buy booth space.  Result?  For the first time, show cancelled, and dealers took their money and their loyal buyers elsewhere.

No dealers, no buyers, empty venue.

Gosh, that sounds familiar.

Any half-baked retailer knows that suppliers are just as important as end customers.  More important, really, because if you don't have quality products and a reliable supply chain, you'll never be able to grow and sustain a good customer base.

I don't like the constant changes either.  Annoying, and time-wasting.  However, I am still an enthusiastic buyer.  Because I can find things on here--that I cannot find anywhere else.  AND the prices are usually quite good.Woman Happy

Such a stupid analogy...

That hurts- especially when coming from another "Regular." It's no wonder why a person with a feedback question would be hesitant in posting their question- when their mental status may be dissected.

No, just a diverse opinion.

After all, diversity is grand, right?

How cool is that?

And cute, too.

Ebay is better than ever. The changes will prove to be for
the best. Buyers put up all the money, and ebay is working
to make sure that sellers keep the buyers happy. Sellers
work a little harder and then complain, that's all.

And now, no more feedback for buyers.......WOOT!

Thank goodness Ebay listened to their sellers on that one.

And I said the analogy was stupid - I stated nothing about the mental capacity of anyone.

If they can't discern the difference, not my issue.

And someone coming here for help - isn't doing everything in their power to disrupt the people here trying to do that - so they probably won't have that issue.

More condescending, patronizing remarks from one, that believes in their own superiority.

Hello pot, meet kettle. Talk about living in a glass house. W.O.W

Both buyers and sellers are needed, and no. the buyers do not put up all the money. The sellers inventory is not free. They take all the risk.
