PayPal funds the payment with any balance you have and takes the rest from your bank account. If you want to use your charge card, then transfer your balance to your bank account first. As soon as you initiate the transfer, then you can fund your payment with a charge card.

OP can use the change or more funding options link to fund the remaining portion with their cc.

The normal process would be..

Paypal will use all of your available balance first, & then go to your funding source for the remaining amount...

Bank account first (if you have one attached)

If you don't want to use your bank account, use the change or more funding options link to select your card.

If you don't have a bank account attached, the default would be to use your card for the remaining amount.

If it isn't working this way, call Paypal.

You must first Withdraw your PayPal balance before you can use your charge card.
