Reserve not met but i'm the highest bidder. Can my bid be high enough to reach reserve, or should I bid higher?

My bid is the highest bid but displays less than my bid and Reserve Not met.

Ask the seller how much the reserve is.

It shouldn't be a big secret, unless they really don't want to sell their item.

If the reserve is not met, nobody wins.

That makes the seller a loser, too.

The amount showing is just enough to overcome the previous bidder.

When you bid enough to overcome the reserve that will become your showing bid and the term 'reserve not met' will disappear.

I agree with granpa, ask the seller how much. some will tell, others don't want to sell.
