The easiest way to keep track of your bidding and buying activity is on your My eBay page.
You want to place items on your watch list. On the listing page of the item you bid on, right under where it says place bid, there is a tab that says watch this item. Click on it.
it will show up on your My ebay page .

It would show up in your purchase history tab with a pay now button.

The easiest way for me is to go to my My eBay tab, at the top of the page, and choose from the list Bids/Offer. Once you go to that page then on the left of that page is, under my Activity which is already selected, is Didn't Win tab, the second one down under Bids/Offers tab. Because I always wanted to know how much it went from and how much I was out bid. For me it is the quickiest way. If you do not see a number by the Didn't Win tab then go to Purchase History to pay for it because you won the item.
PS my computer is slow, I guess, because sometimes I have to refresh that page to show up-to-the-minute if I am bidding on multiple auctions with same seller ending minutes after each other.
