Did you pay for 2 items? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. If you contacted the seller and haven't gotten a reply there's nothing you can do.
But life does get in the way. Sicknesses, hospital visits, deaths in the family, etc. Could be a lot of reasons why the seller hasn't gotten back to you. Once seller realizes he sent you 2 he will decide if it's worth getting it returned and he will contact you.
I think a simple, single message thru ebay messaging system is enough. The ball is in their court.

The complaint is that I paid more than what was advertised, the second item was a supprise after receiving the package doubling my purchase. Seller did not answer my call to explain why I received two items. I only needed
one item. Hope this help your understanding. Are you the seller?

Did you happen to hit the back button, then, thinking you hadn't purchased any, hit buy again... again thinking you were only getting, paying for one?
That's what happened to me, different item, different seller. The big difference was that I saw I'd gotten 2 before paying. I didn't see how I could easily delete one of them, and being in a hurry at that moment in time, paid for 2. Another big difference in my case is that it was something that I could use again eventually.
