We all know the old saying “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Now you can upload up to 10 item images after you’ve purchased or sold an item on eBay.

Sharing pictures of your item presents a more effective way for buyers and sellers to resolve issues after the sale. Images are particularly useful in cases where the condition of an item is in question, the item was damaged during shipping, or a replacement item is requested.

In some cases, the ability to preview photos of an item can help resolve an issue before a return request has been completed—which can save both time and money. In addition to helping facilitate communication between buyer and seller, these photos—accessible by buyer, seller, and eBay customer service—will be permanently attached to the return record.

Images need to be in PNG, JPEG, BMP, or GIF format with a maximum file size of 5MB. If you need to return an item and want to learn how to upload photos, click here. eBay sellers should visit the Seller Center to learn more about how returns work on eBay—including details on uploading images during a return.

And as always, thanks for buying and selling on eBay.

Can we add the photos after the dispute has already been opene?

Rising Star

I am have been unable to add photos during the return process on the ebay app for the lastseveral days. I tried 2 different phones in case it was an issue with space storage. When I enter the issue for return then add details I click on "add up to 10 photos" and nothing happens?? Although and orange line runs diagonally down the left side of my screen. Anyone else having this issue or now how to resolve it other than using a computer and ebay website. The app is much more convenient than down loading photos wit a memory card. Thanx
