My analogy? Her return stunk but the buyers refund didn't!

komo - Perhaps this tread is getting a little (too many posting off topic) long in the tooth and a new thread under the same title is warranted and appropriate for 2014

Hey, artie ~ A few off topic comments sprinkled here and there, keep a
subject from becoming boring and tedious, IMHO ~ Plus, we are only 61
posts away from another snipe!
Reading eBay Policy: Reading PT threads while learning:

hidy-hoo : This is a important subject that comes up almost daily.
A no returns member policy does not mean no refunds. As you know in the end the seller could end up without the merchandise and no money!
komo is well respected and a excellent poster and I think an good idea if he would renew this post.

There are many threads that have been diluted into
either snipe opportunities or just unfettered whining.
In the case of this, komo could ask that it be locked,
as a 'read only' thread. Once locked, he should start
a new thread, which with any luck, could stay on topic.
Personally, I would love to see the 'Fees on Shipping'
and 'eBay Sucks' threads locked and not restarted.
The fees on shipping are what they are and it has
been made abundantly clear, that eBay knows how
to suck in more ways than Xaviera Hollander could
have ever dreamt of... or we just leave it all, as is.

I agree with you on the importance of a "no returns" thread! The "snipe comment" was said with tongue in cheek, as komo is the PT board "sniper king"; however, I really feel that a little levity now and then, does not detract from a thread.
I also agree that 341 posts are a lot to wade through ~ so maybe it is time for a new thread! Hopefully, komo will let the board know how he feels about starting a new thread ~ I am fine with either decision!

Thanks for the kind words Artie , but I'm no longer well respected or for that matter even known here anymore.
There was a time, but that time has passed and given way to a new board where even helpful threads are started and ended without me seeing one name I recognize....or anyone who would recognize me.
Even my Get to Know 2014 thread , with 100 views has only me and Scga to show for it , a clear statement from viewers that the idea of the PT Board as community is long a thing of the past.
You, Hoo, & BD , are right in the sense that the NO RETURNS policy still offered by eBay is unenforceable , untenable, & with the massive ebay advertising of the Buyer Protection plan....is **bleep** near a crime that a buyer is even given that option. It should be near the top at all times, because there are still huge numbers of sellers who think it makes sense to have it , until they find out otherwise and end up on this board shocked to find out they've lost their money and their SOLD ITEMS !!!
A new thread may indeed be warranted......and either one of you has the knowledge , & the aptitude to put it up ...at your leisure....with my blessing.
Not that you require my blessing, because as you well know it's only ' my ' thread for the 1st post....& after that it's every ones thread, and that said if you can keep it from smelling like stinky cheese , or keep me from totem sniping on it...... well then you're better Pharties than I am !
KOMO...
ps. if a new thread is started I will do as BD asks and get this one LOCKED DOWN.
