My auction says No Returns, isn't that my right !

Even though the option exists in your listing of " No Returns ", unfortunately that does not mean No Refunds !!

The Ebay Buyer Protection Plan over rides your policy, and almost guarantees that a claim filed against you ( such as a SNAD..) will result in the buyer getting a refund without having to return your item to you.

While this is not fair, you can prevent this from happening in the future by changing you auction listings to ' accept returns'.

LOL... maybe so.  That one porpoise sure looked like he was taking aim (in the wrong direction from the others).  I've seen a lot of dolphins, but this is the first time I've ever seen them collide.  😮

well i read all the post here  and decided im done with ebay . i spend a lot of time making what i sell with very ;little profit. my item was as described and buyer never contacted me just opened a case were my only option was to give refund. ebay seems to encourage that buyer doesn't return item. to me that is just unbelievable ill sell what i have left i have been selling since 2003 and im sure ebay will lose many more sellers .its very unfair

Carri......by listing your items with NO RETURNS it's you that decided to encourage the buyer keep your item.

Changing your auctions to read RETURNS ACCEPTED, will foster trust in bidders looking at your wonderful handmade creations, and a feeling that you stand behind your craftsmanship .

Stick around here and read up on any threads that could help you create auction listings with more punch and better visibility, and learn about the ways to protect yourself & deal with those few crappy buyers.

If you really want to quit , fine , but don't do it just because you came up against one scammer and were unprepared to deal with them.

I've noticed some sellers (some who do, and don't accept returns) adding their own text that they offer "ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS" and "SOLD AS-IS - NO REFUNDS".... as if this entry of text makes a legal agreement.  It does not. Brick and Mortar stores are in the same boat....you can put up as many signs as you like in your store saying "No returns", if STATE LAW dictates the ability to return an item in x-amount of days...YOU ACCEPT RETURNS, regardless of what your signs or receipts state.

Just checking here... eBay policy dictates sellers are responsibile up to 45 days for buyers to file a SNAD and seler smiles and says "Sure! I'll take that return, no problem!", right?

Right.  If a seller states that they don't accept returns, then Ebay/Paypal assumes the seller would rather just give a refer without getting their merchandise back.   To help prevent this situation, a seller needs to adapt or risk losing it all.
