How to change my name on ebay?

hi.

when i was making an ebay account, i wrote a nick name instead of my full name and surname.

how can i change it?

p.s. i don't mean the user id, i'm talking about my real name.

Hello ~ To change your name or any personal eBay information, go to your My eBay ~ you will find the icon at the top of the page on the right side just before the Bell symbol.

Once there, select "Account" ~ "Email & Contact Info", then "Registered Name & Address" and make the appropriate changes ~ although to be honest, I'm not sure if this will work for you since you are based in Croatia ~ but give it a try!

Hover over (top left) Hi Nick (I presume)

Click account - scroll to profile info - on the right click the blue edit button.

If that doesn't work come back for more help.

Hi, @rivercityframe ~ yes, you will have to log in/sign in to the eBay site where you registered and then follow my instructions in post #2 above ^^^^!

Looks like they got it ... but ...Very strange ... poster has actually changed their ID 5 times since registering 12 years ago ... why the problem this time?

They must've changed since this answer. I too am trying to change my last name because everywhere on here it has my maiden name (which is correct. But beside my profile picture is still has my married name. I'm just now finding that out. When I tried what you said the options under My ebay are Summary, Recently Viewed, Bids/Offers, Watch list, Purchase History, Selling, Saved Searches, Saved Sellers, & messages but no Account. Even when I look under my account beside my profile pic there's nothing I can find to change my name.

Hi, @chvygrl10  Go to "My eBay" 

• click on "Summary"
• you will see "Activity", "Messages" and "Account"
• click on "Account"
• click on "Addresses"
• click on "Registration Address" and change your name
• click on "Primary Shipping Address" and change your name

You were right all along so please forgive my response. I take meds that cause me to have to have it laid out for me in steps like this now. I have vertigo & the only thing that helps is Topamax & it really messes with my memory & understanding. I used to actually update our loan manuals like this for new employees using a step by step process because I knew them like the back of my hand without having to think about it b/c it seemed they learned easiest that way. Sorry to ramble but thanks for putting it in steps like that. It of course worked. I had changed all addresses other than the Registration. Thanks so very much.

You are welcome...and FYI, the set-up in My eBay is not very intuitive so there is nothing to forgive and I am happy to help ~ it would be so much easier if it actually said "NAME & Address!
